(1) Street layout shall conform to the city’s street layout maps. The applicant may provide alternate plans for street layouts that provide for the most advantageous development of subdivision, the adjoining neighborhoods, and the city.

(2) Existing or proposed streets or arterials that provide access to the subdivision, or combinations of existing or proposed streets and arterials that provide access to the subdivision, shall be continued along the same alignment as the existing or proposed street such that the street continues to the boundary of the subdivision, either adjacent to the subdivision or through the subdivision, whichever the case may be.

(3) Dead-end streets may be allowed where the proposed dead-end street will not adversely affect the traffic flow and circulation within the area.

(4) The minimum requirements for right-of-way, centerline curve radii, and centerline curve tangent lengths for primary streets, secondary streets, tertiary streets and residential streets are listed in the community street and utility standards adopted by the council. (Ord. 411 § 1, 2008)
