The low density residential single-family district is intended to reserve areas primarily for family living in single-family dwellings on large lots, characterized by privacy, an atmosphere conducive to sleep and repose, and living environments that promote the enjoyment of residential and neighborhood life. Certain community, noncommercial agricultural and commercial uses that are compatible with residential uses and consistent with the character of large lot single-family neighborhoods should be allowed.
