The medium density residential district is intended to reserve areas primarily for family living in single-family dwellings, characterized by privacy, an atmosphere conducive to sleep and repose, and living environments that promote the enjoyment of residential and neighborhood life. Duplexes, approved accessory housing units, and certain community and commercial uses that are compatible with residential uses and consistent with the character of single-family neighborhoods should be allowed.
